“So komm doch!”, lockt sie. Und er streckt sich, greift behutsam ihre Hand Sie zieht sanft und er lässt sich gleiten, über den Bootsrand Sie umarmt ihn, küsst ihn innig, gerne lässt er es geschehen Sie nimmt ihn mit sich, immer tiefer, und er ward nie mehr geseh'n…
Schandmaul - “Seemannsgrab” (lit. seaman’s grave)
Finally finished the sketch I made towards the end of mermay 2019. Took inspiration from a song I’m listening to every now and again.
I missed Valentine’s Day, OC kiss week and almost the rest of February because life threw me a wrench and I fell back into feeling inadequate about my art. Thankfully I got encouraged to post stuff regardless if I missed the intended date lol (looking at you, @kittlesandbugs and @funkypoacher)
My Kellina and @of-elves-and-wolves‘s Hanon being the lovey-dovey feel-good couple that keeps on making my soul happy

Please don’t use my art without my express permission!
Ok, so my initial gut reaction… taking into account that my DA lore is pretty rusty. (I don’t even know where I put my World of Thedas volumes after cleaning my desk ages ago… I’m so ashamed.)
Now, the bit of the mural has me wondering if I am reading WAY too much into things (totally possible, it’s late and I’m hyped):
We can clearly see both Solas and the Dread Wolf… specifically the version of the symbol used on his Tower tarot card.
Except now he’s not leading it.
In The Tower, the wolf looms over him, close behind as he walks away, both of them facing the same direction. When it makes an appearance in that mural we find in Trespasser… again, Solas is moving forward and the wolf is following close behind.
Maybe it’s not significant. Maybe standing before it and raising his hand is supposed to indicate summoning it, or commanding it, rather than opposition to it.
But I do find it interesting to think about, nonetheless.
Quick Edit:
As soon as I hit post a friend pointed out that this thing looks like the red lyrium idol from DA2 and they are 100% right.
Trouble is, it’s ancient AF and I know nothing about it.
So I’m gonna toss my other speculation under the cut that might have absolutely zero to do with DA4, but you get to learn fun things about mummies and Nevarran apocalypse cults that worship Darkspawn.
